HELLO!!! Welcome back to the Patel Family Blog! If you are a first time reader, or have forgotten, I, Ben Grass, am the head writer. Anyway, it has been way too long since we last published a report, and this installment will represent a return to normalcy. Note that vocab, folks. It’s back. Lets get started with news of our Comrades in College.
First off Shayla, who will be making her first appearance in this segment as a college student. According to my sources she is enjoying UNC Chapel Hill so far. Apparently she is busy with research, classes, honors program, etc. Anyway, she sounds busy, but happy, so we are glad she is off to a good start and wish her luck. Up next is Josh. Logically speaking, we would put Meirra after Shayla, but we instead opted to do Josh in fear that the words would fight with each other while we weren’t watching. Anyway, Josh is entering his Junior, but final year of college at Cal Poly. Note: he claims that technically he is a senior. He is very busy with his studies and his internship, both of which he enjoys, though I still attest that his true passion is aviation. Don’t worry though, it seems he still has some free time, as he is scheduled to write the next section, which will be called Josh’s Paragraph (only for now because I don’t have any better names). Anyway, it seems to me, he is doing well. Lastly we have Meirra. Meirra is enjoying dance, but is very busy, and didn’t have time for much of an interview.
Now before I put Josh in the driver’s seat, I’d like to explain that this section is for those articles of information that are either something I am not interested in, or that I am involved in and would have a conflict of interest writing. That being said, I still hope to write Comrades in College when I get to be involved in that section, which, by the way, newsflash members of the family, will probably be in the summer of this year or slightly earlier, when questions of where I plan to apply will come up. Time for Josh to take over, for the Josh’s Paragraph!
Hey family. I’m thrilled to be back writing a section of the blog, and I hope that the blog team will be able to get back to regularly publishing it soon. Now, on to my major topic of discussion. We are in the middle of the World Series, so I must talk about…you guessed it….sports! I’ll start off by saying that I am a Dodgers fan, and so I was thrilled that they were doing well this year and beat the puny team from Atlanta that someone thought to name the “Braves”. Surely no one reading this blog is a Braves fan, so I’m not worried about offending anyone. Oh, wait a minute: Ben is telling me that my own family lives in Atlanta and likes the Braves!? That can’t be right…I’ve lost track of where I live with all this traveling lately. At any rate, now that the Cardinals beat the Dodgers, I have found myself in the very awkward spot of either supporting the Cardinals (which I theoretically shouldn’t do since they beat my favorite team) or supporting the Red Sox, which is dangerous because Schrodinger’s dog (remember him from a previous blog entry?) may hunt me down if he hears that I’m supporting the Red Sox. I guess I should just go back to watching NASCAR instead of trying to sort out all this baseball craziness. Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you all soon: now it’s back to Ben for the rest of the blog post. UPDATE: Red Sox won. Ben is mad. Also, Josh shouldn’t go to NASCAR, he should probably look at either the NBA or NFL. Next we look at the Blog’s future.
It is true, we have returned, and plan to write the blog on a regular basis. That being said, it won’t be once a month. Josh and I have agreed to be the principal writers while Meirra will do the newsletter, and may help on occasion. We will attempt to publish a new blog post between one and two and a half months after a post is written, and will do it based on an availability basis. We take great pride in writing the blog, and love writing it, and we apologize for the long hiatus. We are happy to be getting back into it, and we look forward to writing on a regular basis.
Well that concludes this post; I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. For me at least it has been a hectic couple of months, and I’m sure my cousins have had similar experiences in these past months. Of course, my reasons are completely different than the others, but the feeling is still similar. We hope to be talking with you soon, and have a nice day/month/weeks. Until I write again, Ben Grass.
